This evening, Tampa Bay Markets hosted its monthly event, FLICKS + FOOD TRUCKS, at the Grand Central at Kennedy. This event is rain or shine, appropriate for people of all ages and free of charge to enter. Attendees found all sorts of treats waiting for them, including delicious food, independent short films, live music and locally crafted beers.
Local artist, Michael Snayd, and his band took to the stage tonight and performed original music as well as covers to popular songs. I thought the band was great, they played a lot of good music and I enjoyed their take on the more modern songs.
The food trucks were definitely my favorite part of the night though, all the wonderful smells and tastes. Their wide selection really had something for everyone.
The food truck lineup included:
- Disco Donuts
- Dulce DeMesa
- Frenchies Touch
- I Wanna Wok
- Jimmy Sliders
- Mobile Munchies
- Revolution Ice Cream
- Riddle On The Griddle
- St.Pete Taco Lady
- Savory Pockets
- Simply Squeezed Lemonade
- Tampa Wing Box
- The Cheesesteak Truck
- The Twisted Iron
- Whatever Pops
- CBS Chalkboard Truck, featuring Cena Chef
What food truck would you look forward to trying the most?
The Twisted Iron was a personal favorite of mine and a must try for all waffle lovers.
I just love outdoor events like these, and don’t worry if you feel bad about not being able to attend tonight’s event. This is a recurring event held on the third Thursday of every month, from 6-10 p.m. I hope to see you at one soon!
