Studio Movie Grill Groove

The typical life of a college student includes wandering around with only $10 in your pocket. But the question remains – what can you do with it? Personally, one of my favorite things to do on a college student budget, is to watch a movie at the Studio Movie Grill in the University Mall.

Normally, SMG gives students discounted tickets that only cost $7, where adults have to pay $9. Just recently however, SMG has offered a Groupon for $5 movie tickets, which is a real deal.

SMG is not only a movie theater, it’s a full bar and restaurant. If you have a little extra to spend, you could enjoy the in-theater dinning and bar service, where every day there’s a food or drink special being offered. For instance, Mondays are $5 margaritas and Wednesdays are $5 big beer cans. As for any college student on a budget, a $5 ticket and a $5 margarita, sounds like a good idea.

My experience at SMG was great considering the cost of it. I recently watched “The Visit” there and it was a very enjoyable experience. The customer service was great and they brought my food to me in a timely fashion.

The staff did whatever they could to please their customers and if you needed anything, they were there with the push of a button. My only problem was the way they serve the checks at the end of the movie, when I want to concentrate on the climax of the film, not on calculating the service tax.

There are endless possibilities for cheap and affordable events for college students to attend, but SMG offers you countless opportunities to save. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and I would suggest that you book your tickets now.
