Downtown St. Petersburg is awesome!
Most of us look forward to the weekend just to relax and hang out with friends. Living in Tampa can get a little boring, especially doing the same local activities. Going out of town doesn’t necessarily mean spending an arm and leg on food and fun activities.I want to encourage all of you to head over the Howard Franklin Bridge and explore downtown. Most of us are on a budget, so here are a few inexpensive activities to enjoy!
- The Salvador Dali Museum – has the largest collections of Dali paintings. Free for college students
- The 600 Block– diverse collection of shops and businesses such as fine art galleries, boutiques, body art shops, music shops, graphic design and branding centers as well as performance venues, eateries and a world-class audio and visual recording studio. It’s also free!
- Saturday Morning Market
- Lassing Park – The best outdoor activity is visiting Lassing Park. This park has over 2,400 acres of land, 6 dog parks, nature trails and so much more. The calmness and serenity of this park is a great way to unwind.
I encourage everyone to visit these attractions.
