I’m pretty sure a decent number of students have received extremely hard homework assignments, which made them reconsider their life and fantasize about becoming a rapper, singer or music producer. I’ve been there, done that and I can honestly say that there’s a bright side to those situations. You can take a break from the stress of homework and head down to the Bulls Radio recording studio on the first floor of the Marshal Center.
Bulls Radio is Florida’s No. 1 college radio station. Even with a reputation like that, they offer FREE recording sessions to students, as long as you make an appointment to secure your time slot. Although they allow access to a recording booth and supply the microphones, the users have to bring their own production software.
I think that this is a great opportunity for students to enjoy themselves in a more professional atmosphere, and explore their music creativity. Whether you’re a beginner or trying to create quality recordings, the studio allows you to dedicate yourself to the music.
The University of South Florida is definitely making an effort to support the music community by offering this creative outlet. A couple of my friends took advantage of the studio so they could produce some beats. Since they started using it about a three weeks ago, they go back at least twice during the week.
